Calling all babies!!!

It's BACK! The 6th annual BABY & FAMILY FAIR at the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre... this weekend, NOVEMBER 1 & 2. We love this show, and have been supporting and attending it since the first days. Filled with great new products for baby and new & expecting parents, you'll always find something cool. Great free samples, a marketplace to buy some of latest & greatest, a photo contest, petting station, and lots of great people to talk to and share information & ideas. This show is great whether you're expecting your first, have a baby in the stroller, a couple of toddlers in tow, or have nieces/nephews to shop for. Bring the kids, there's lots for them to see & do, including performances by Chris Hamilton and Bobs & Lolo. Don't forget to stop by & say hi to WestCoast Families too - we'll see you there!

Calling all WestCoast women!

It's the 8th annual West Coast Women's Show this weekend, at the Tradex in Vancouver.  You've never been?  time to check it out!  WestCoast Families and Yummy Mummy magazines will be there... with bells on.  It used to be that Friday was the Girl's Night Out at the show, and it was definitely worth the trip.  Now they've expanded the fun to Friday AND Saturday... Martini nights, and a  firefighters' fashion show, live auction, celebrity appearances, and more.  This show is known for it's samples, samples, and more FREE samples!  There's a home & interior design zone, health/fitness area, and lots of unique shopping to be done from the exhibitors.  You can save on your admission by buying in advance at London Drugs (save $2) or buy downloading a coupon direct from the show website (save $1).

Lunch fun

We love the super-cute lunchboxes from Lavish and Lime online store.  They're soft & lightweight, come in 4 different characters like a green bunny, a black & white dog, a pink panda, or a yellow tiger.... and apparently more to come!  It's insulated to keep foods cool or hot... and unzips to create a clean placemat for eating from.  Perfect for the young ones.  Fill it with the reuseable sandwich wraps to keep the plastic baggies out of the landfills.  $14 from www.lavishandlime.com

Kids Fun in Ladner

If you live in the Ladner/Tsawwassen area, check out the Children's Fair on Sunday at Buttercups!  This is a great store, featuring beautiful consignment for kids of all ages, plus locally made cool stuff for moms & kids.  Definitely worth a visit.

The Children's Fair on Sunday July 13 from 11am-3pm includes Bonkers Band at 1pm, Buggy Baby Fitness Free Kids Yoga class at noon, and Face Painting from 12-2pm.  All day there's a Mini-Bouncy Castle, games & prizes, crafts, balloons, and food/drink.  

All the proceeds from the fair go to L'il Rascals Parent Participation Preschool.
